Welcome to Gordonvale Family Medical Centre website. We are an AGPAL accredited general practice providing quality health care to the region since 1993. We offer a comprehensive range of primary care services in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
Location
We are in Gordonvale town centre in a complex that houses a Sullivan Nicolaides pathology collection centre. Click to view Map
Practice Hours
The practice is open 6 days with extended evening sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
After Hours
A doctor is on-call to existing patients for emergency consultations. Please phone 07 4056 3600 to be referred.

Home Visits
Home visits are available to regular patients for substantial medical reasons, but most problems are best dealt with at the surgery. Please phone and we will accommodate your needs to fit in with the day’s schedule.
Residential Aged and Special Needs Care Facility
Our doctors attend Pyramid Retirement Centre once a month. Visits can be arranged by phoning the Practice directly or through the Retirement Centre staff.
Hospital visits
Gordonvale Memorial Hospital is a Palliative Care facility and no longer accepts general medical or surgical admissions. Visits must be arranged through the hospital’s care team.
Appointments
Consultations are by appointment but all urgent medical problems will be attended to on presentation. You are encouraged to request your preferred GP. To help us keep to our schedule:
- Advise us if you need extra time as longer appointments are available on request
- Phone ahead if time is a concern
- Notify us if you are unable to attend
- Ensure a separate appointment is made if more than one person wishes to see the doctor.
Parking
Off-street parking is available at the rear of the building via the side driveway.
Emergency or Impaired Mobility Access
No-step and private access is provided through the wider emergency entry at the side of the building down the driveway. Please use this entrance and waiting room if you are accompanied by an assistance dog.
